Rona’s gonna rone, plus a quick thought on new Devin Townsend
Welp, after all these years, the rona finally got me. I knew something was up after trick-or-treating with my kids this Monday, and feeling like I was on fire with a fever. Sure enough, after a quick rapid test I got the dreaded double line. Maybe in hindsight I shouldn’t have picked the plague doctor mask as my costume?
Throughout the week I had about zero energy, and felt pretty miserable. One of the only things that did keep me entertained was doing what I usually do, catching up on my form of TV - watching YouTube guitar videos.
And while I wasn’t up to playing guitar myself, I did still put together a list of some of the videos I’ve been checking out. No commentary this week, as I’m trying to take it easy, but I didn’t want to leave you readers without a newsletter.
Also, there’s been SO much great, new music coming out lately. I’ve been a fan of Devin Townsend for a couple of years at this point, really getting into his Transcendence and Empath albums. Well, his new “Lightwork” album is equally as amazing, and produced incredibly well. Some truly movie-esque production work going on here. You can check out that album here.
Alright, I’m going to go back to some relaxation time. Hope to be back with a full newsletter next weekend. If you have any great guitar stuff to share with me, or any nice comments in general, please reply to this email or comment on Substack!

Try out a half an hour to see how much you can learn when you know the right things to practice. Whether you want to learn guitar, recording, mixing or more, I can help you out!
