the advancing guitarist and inside outside guitar soloing

So happy to be back for issue 2 of this subs only edition of Six String Sunday Club. I have some new thoughts to share with you on what’s working for me in the practice room, a guitarist i’m dipping back into, a book I’m getting back into, and a fantastic interview to share. Thank you so much for continuing to help me do what I love most - share my knowledge about the guitar, whether it be a lesson, a video, book or more. Let’s get right into this month’s issue!

What’s Working For Me Right Now

I wanted to start with this section that I’ll be including in every issue. If you read the first installment of this series, you’d see that I love learning how other people are practicing, and what’s moved the needle the most for them. Well, for the past two months I’ve been heavily focusing on triads and learning arpeggio shapes again. But not only learning those two things, but also saying their qualities out loud.
